Summary:
The briefing was postponed until after the Annual Report from the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform had been tabled in September. The Annual Report of the Commission on Restitution of Land Rights had been tabled in June due to legal requirements. The Chairperson, seconded by committee members Ms N Hangana (ANC) and Ms A Steyn (DA), decided that the Annual Report of an entity could not be effectively discussed without the Annual Report of the relevant department.
