Final Mandates: Social Assistance Amendment Bill [B5B-2010]
The Committee met to deal with the final mandates and vote on the Social Assistance Amendment Bill. Eight provinces had submitted their mandates and all had voted in favour of the Bill.
The Chairperson noted that the only item on the agenda was to deal with the final mandates and to vote on the Social Assistance Amendment Bill.
She requested Members to read out the mandates of their respective provinces.

Free State
The Legislature voted in favour of the Bill.
North West
The Legislature mandated its delegate to vote in favour of the Bill.
Western Cape
The Legislature supported the Bill.
Limpopo
The Legislature voted in favour of the Bill.
Eastern Cape
The Legislature mandated its delegate to vote in favour of the Bill.
Gauteng
The Legislature supported the Bill.
Kwazulu-Natal
The Legislature supported the Bill.
Northern Cape
The Legislature voted in favour of the Bill.
Mpumalanga
The delegate advised the Committee that she did not have any mandate as the Legislature would only be deliberating on the Bill that day.
The Chairperson read out the motion of desirability and the Committee’s report on the Bill. Both were approved.
