Committee Minutes and Reports
The outstanding minutes and reports were tabled and the Committee agreed to reconvene after two hours to deliberate and adopt them.

Adoption of Committee Report
The Committee adopted the report of its 9 May oversight visit to the new generation prison being built-in Kimberley with amendments.

The Committee adopted the following minutes without amendments:

16 September 2008 and
21 October 2008

Finalisation of Outstanding Matters
Following a lengthy and robust discussion of how the Committee performed during its tenure - its successes and challenges -  all Members present agreed that an overview of its activities, and matters that need further follow-up ought to be compiled, and that that report should serve as a hand-over report to the incoming Committee. A draft report would be prepared and considered at a date to be determined by the Committee.
