MINUTES
Introductory remarks by Chairperson
The Chairperson began the proceedings by introducing Adv P Swart as the new DA Member of the Committee and Mr Khaya Mfuno who had been appointed as the new Committee researcher. She informed Members that the Committee was finalising arrangements for an oversight visit to the offices of the National Treasury, the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) and the South African Revenue Services (SARS).

Draft Committee Report on Fourth Quarter National Expenditure 2006/7
The previous Committee researcher then proceeded to take Members through the Report, after which Members discussed the various issues that had been raised.  Members stated that letters would be written to the various Departments with regard to the issues that have been raised, and the responses would be included in the second draft of the Report, which would be considered further by the Committee.

The meeting was adjourned.
