Upcoming Committee oversight visit to Mpumalanga
The Chairperson explained to Members that the reason for its upcoming oversight visit to Mpumalanga, from 25-29 February 2008 was that the province had faced a number of problems.
 
The draft programmw for the visit was presented but referred back to the Committee Secretary as it contained time clashes.
 
Letter from Aliwal North Unemployment Forum
The committee acknowledged having received the letter from the Aliwal North Unemployment Forum and the Human Rights “Watchdog” on human rights violations. The Committee agreed that the letter be sent to the Eastern Cape Provincial Government to address the issues raised in it.

Adoption of minutes
The Committee considered and adopted, without amendments, the minutes of its meeting on 17 January 2008.
