Committee Report on Eastern Cape Oversight Visit
Ms A Mchunu (IFP; Kwazulu Natal) stated that her main concern
was whether funds reflected under the province’s Department of Roads and
Transport expenditure went straight to the municipalities, or whether it went
to the provincial government.
Mr M Robertson (ANC, Eastern Cape) asked if the municipalities complied with
the requisite reporting timeframes.
The Chairperson stated that the issues raised by Members would have to be
clarified during the Committee’s upcoming visit to the Eastern Cape.
The Report was adopted, without amendments.
The meeting was adjourned.
