REMUNERATION OF AUDITOR-GENERAL: APPROVAL

Chairperson: Ms B Hogan (ANC)

SUMMARY
The Chairperson gave a brief overview about the background to the proposal document. The document was not discussed as the Committee had done so previously in camera. The proposal for the remuneration of the Auditor-General was approved by the Committee.

MINUTES
Ms Hogan said that the proposal for remuneration had been discussed at length. The proposal document had been made available to the lawyers of the Office of the Auditor-General and to those of Parliament and they had both approved the proposal.

The Committee formally approved the proposal which would be sent to the Office of the President.

Meeting adjourned.
