MINUTES
The Committee was meant to have elected an Acting Chairperson and have discussed the input from the Department regarding the appointment of Commissioners. However, due to poor attendance, a quorum could not be formed. Members of the Committee who were present (the interim Chairperson was absent) requested that the meeting be adjourned until further notice. Members expressed concern about the effectiveness of the Committee and also argued that the next meeting should be speedily organised prior to Parliament’s recess in April.
