Public Services Commission investigations into the appointment of professional Cubans in the South African public service: PowerPoint presentation

SUMMARY
Only four ANC Members attended the meeting and it lasted under 20 minutes. Members agreed to discuss the Department Annual Report and Strategic Plan, as well as the Commonwealth Association of Public Administration and Management (CAPAM) and SA Local Government (SALGA) conference reports, at the Committee meeting of Thursday 10 March.

The Chairperson proposed that a more in-depth investigation be conducted by Members into the Public Services Commission report on the appointment of professional Cubans in the SA public service before it was adopted. Mr N Gcwabaza (ANC) and Mr M Baloyi (ANC) agreed. Mr Baloyi further suggested that they find a way to take this debate back to, and to assess the situation in, individual provinces.

The meeting was adjourned.
