SUMMARY
Mr L Modisenyane was elected Chairperson, unopposed and unanimously.

MINUTES
The Committee Secretary welcomed everybody at the first meeting of the Ad Hoc Committee on Correctional Services.

The Committee Secretary, Ms I Davids, invited nominations for the Committee Chairperson.

Mr D Bloem moved that Mr L Modisenyane be Chairperson, and he was elected unopposed and unanimously.

Various documents were distributed and Members were urged to prepare for the Budget process.

The meeting was adjourned.
