SUMMARY
This was the first meeting of the above Committee. On the agenda was the election of a chairperson and a discussion of the way forward.

The Committee Secretary, Mr L Pakati, asked for nominations for a Chairperson, and the name of Mr Vincent Smith was the only one forwarded. Everyone was in agreement that he should be elected, and in his absence, Mr Smith was declared the Chairperson of the Ad Hoc Committee of Public Auditing.

As a sitting of the National Assembly was scheduled at the same time as this Committee meeting, the meeting was promptly adjourned to give members an opportunity to attend the sitting.
