MINUTES
The committee had agreed to the Bill in a joint sitting with the National Assembly Adhoc Committee on 18 October 2000. However, parliamentary procedure only allowed the National Assembly Adhoc Committee to vote on the Bill at that time. The committee thus met in order to discharge with the formality of passing the Bill.

The committee initially voted on the Bill clause by clause and thereafter voted on it as a whole. The committee agreed to the Bill as amended.

The Chair adjourned the meeting.
