Frequently Asked Questions - Premium Content Access

When users of the PMG website log in, their email address is automatically checked against organizational records on file at PMG. These records store information about your organization and your subscription with PMG: your Premium Access settings, the expiry of your subscription, and your corporate email domain name (eg. everything after the '@'). When a match is found, the Premium Access settings are automatically synchronized with the user's account and the user will then have Premium Access.

New and existing users from your organization can access Premium Content simply by registering for an account, or by logging in if they have an account already.

Organizations may also register more than one email domain name with PMG. Contact Pumza 27 21 465 8885 or email her on subscribe@pmg.org.za to organise this.

No.

Subscription fees are not calculated based on the size of your Organization.

If your Organization is registered with PMG as having Premium Content Access, but when logged in you still do not have access to Premium Content, your Organization's record at PMG may be out of date or expired.

Contact PMG at subscribe@pmg.org.za or 021 465 8885 and we will establish what the problem is.

Go to http://www.pmg.org.za/user.

You will need to choose a user name and enter a valid email address. If your Organization has arranged for the access of Premium Content from PMG and you wish to view this content using your new account, you must use your corporate email address when registering.

Your Organization email address must be registered for a user account. Then, email request@pmg.org.za to request free access as according to PMG's Subscription Policy.

Since your Organization has only one email address and several of you want to receive PMG Free Alerts, you must each register using your private email address. If asked for a Username and Password, use the Organisation's Username and Password.

For example: DisabilitySA@telkomsa.net has been given free access after emailing request@pmg.org.za. It has chosen the User Name: dsa and the Password: disability

Sivu works for DisabilitySA but uses his private email sivu@gmail.com to get PMG Free Alerts. When he gets an alert for a Report from the Health Portfolio Committee, he accesses it by using DisabilitySA's Username and Password

If you have forgotten your Username or Password, go to Request new username and password which is at the bottom left of the PMG homepage. You will be asked to submit your email address. A temporary login will be provided so that you can choose a new Password on your Account details page.

If your password no longer works, it might be that you are using a password that is older than February 2008. The New PMG website launched in February 2008 requires each user to have their own Username and Password (user account) to access Premium Content. Passwords will no longer be shared amongst users of the same Organisation.

If you have received PMG Email Alerts to your email account at your Organization in the past, you already have an account on our new web site. Simply use the Request new password form with your Organizational email address to be sent a login link so you can choose and insert your Password.

If you previously did not receive PMG Email Alerts, you will need to register for a new user account: Register Here. Make sure to do so with your Organisational email address (not a private email address eg Sivu@gmail.com / Plaatjie@hotmail.com).
