REPORT OF THE AD HOC COMMITTEE ON NOMINATION OF A PERSON TO FILL A VACANCY ON THE COMMISSION FOR GENDER EQUALITY, DATED 25 OCTOBER 2007:

The Ad Hoc Committee was appointed by resolution of the House on 29 August 2007, to nominate a person to fill the vacancy on the Commission for Gender Equality in terms of section 3(2) of the Commission on Gender Equality Act (Act No 39 of 1996).

Fourteen curricula vitae were referred by the Speaker to the Ad Hoc Committee on 20 September 2007.

The Committee shortlisted and interviewed the following six candidates:

Ms Cecilie Palmer
Ms Evangelina Shirley Mabusela
Ms Nditsheni Maanda
Dr Andre Keet
Ms Moira Thandoluhle Mpanza

Having interviewed the candidates, the Committee recommends that the following person be nominated for appointment to fill the vacancy on the Commission for Gender Equality.
