Report of the Standing Committee on Private Members’ Legislative Proposals and Special Petitions on the Legislative Proposal to amend the Lotteries Act, dated 15 June 2007:

The Standing Committee on Private Members’ Legislative Proposals and Special Petitions, having considered the Legislative Proposal to amend the Lotteries Act (Mr. L Labuschagne), and having consulted with the Department of Trade and Industry, recommends that permission not be given to the member to proceed with the proposal.

The Committee further recommends that the Department of Trade and Industry incorporates the proposal into the department’s reviewal process, and report to it six-monthly after adoption of the report by the National Assembly.
