Dear Albertina,
So often the environment is seen as something out there that we mayor may not
need to take care of.
Very often we all forget that everything single thing that we rely on every
single day, from our computers, cars, toothbrushes, water, food, cell phones,
paper - our
entire livelihood is based upon and derived from the natural resources that
constitute our environment.
If we do not have in place strong measures to protect and conserve our environment,
we jeopardise our very existence.
NEMA is both a reflection of our democratic constitution and the means by which
we ensure a healthy living and learning environment for all. We need the act to
be in place.
