National Environmental Management Amendment Bill (36-2007)

Dear Ms. Albertina Kakaza,

I am opposed to the new proposed amendment mentioned above as it is not specifying which activities will and won't be allowed in any clarity at all. I feel this is a deliberate attempt on governments part at being evasive on issues pertaining to what they know are sensitive areas ecologically. That they stand to gain from financially if these "activities" mentioned but not clarified in the proposed bill if they are approved goes without saying but I am concerned at how easy the government are making it for the mining and building sectors to rape and destroy our environment and at the rate that this is proceeding.

I would like to hear that more expert opinions be sought and heard before this bill is approved.

Many thanks,

Bonita Clack
