Dear Stake Holders

Attached hereto please find copies of the two news letters re the state of the VTM finances and the new Heritage Centre currently being constructed on the site. It is trusted you will find this interesting and informative. May it also contribute to convince you to continue regarding the VTM Heritage Site as a compulsory tourist destination for all domestic and foreign visitors to the Gauteng Province.

Apart from the above, I would like to use this opportunity to soundboard you on possible adjustments in the entrance fees to the VTM Heritage Site with effect from 1 March  2008. The following are important factors used as basic points of departure:

a.                   The VTM will relentlessly pursue the three pillars of its chosen management philosophy, namely sound management, service excellence and pro-active marketing, and everything possible will be done to make this even more tangible in practice.

b.                   The VTM wil continue to adjust its entrance fees only when essential, and then in a conservative way, to ensure that all stake holders can be assured that they and their clients get good value for money and will never feel exploited.

c.                   The effect of possible adjustments to the entrance fees, must preferably be given through to the group as a whole and not to the individual visitor.

d.                   The introduction of new and the improvement of existing facilities on the Site will not necessarily lead to an increase in entrance fees, as it will as far as possible be undertaken as part of the drive to provide even better value for money to all visitors.

e.                   All visitors will at all time be welcomed in a courteous, friendly and hospitable way.

f.                     The VTM does not wish to discriminate agains foreign visitors as far as entrance fees are concerned.

g.                   Everything possible will be done to entice visitors to spend more time on site, and to this effect special attention will be given, within the bounds of affordability, to aspects like customer value proposition and customer relationship management. Special customised tours and packages can be developed in consultation with stake holders, including the restaurant and gift shop on the Site.

h.                   The VTM will undertake more specific tourism marketing initiatives, aimed at ensuring that the VTM remains to be considered a compulsory tourism destination in the Gauteng Province. The CEO for instance was a speaker at the 4th International Promotion of Peace through Tourism Conference in Uganda in May 2007, and will also attend the 2nd World Tourism Marketing Summit in Beijing, China over the period 28 - 30 October 2007.

i.                     The VTM did not increase its entrance fees in 2005 and only slightly on 1 August 2006. In 2007 there once again was no increase in the entrance fees, and no increase will be implemented before the new financial year starting on 1 March 2008.

j.                     The VTM remains willing to join hands with Freedom Park, on the other side of the Pretoria-Johannesburg highway, in an effort to develop a joint marketing strategy to provide more value for money and direct access to both venues to all visitors, but unfortunately Freedom Park apparantly prefers to rather opt for a more exclusive approach.

In view of the above, your comments on the following proposed tariffs to be applicable from 1 March 2008 are cordially invited:
