you for the opportunity to comment on this particular bill. (Published in
Gazette 30034 on 2 July 2007.)
Agri SA concurs with the proposed amendments to
the Property Rates Act, Act no. 6 of 2004.
However, we are of the opinion that land used for purpose of eco-tourism or for the trading in or hunting of game
should in terms of section 1 also be included as agricultural property. We are of the opinion that
future changes to the act should deal with this issue as well.
If
so required, Agri SA is prepared to submit a further motivation in this
respect.
