I acknowledge with thanks receipt of your letter dated 10 September 2007, in which you request for permission to refer the petition from Ms J Gongxela to Minister and the Department of Defence,

Permission is granted to the Committee to refer the matter to the Executive in terms of Section 235(1) of the rules of the National Council of Provinces,

I however would like to know what were the kind of deliberations that took place in the Committee besides referring the matter to the Executive concerned
