Subject: Civil Union Bill

It was with great sorrow that I heard that the ANC government forced the Civil Union Bill through the National Assembly to legalize same-sex marriages. The ANC government claims to be a government for the people yet they repeatedly totally disregard the opinions and feelings of the majority of South African citizens. The ANC has shown that they are without conscience and are undemocratic.

Marriage between a man and a woman was instituted long before the ANC ever existed and they have no right to reinvent or redefine the very foundation of marriage - to procreate! If everyone became homosexuals then humankind would cease to exist without artificial/unnatural means to conceive.

I therefore humbly request that the NCOP reconsider this new Civil Union Bill and declare it unworkable since it is against the wishes of the majority of SA citizens.

Kind regards, Eric A Loynes
