Letter from the Minister of Home Affairs dated 4 October 2005 to the Speaker of the National Assembly, in terms of section 65(2)(a) of the Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (Act No 1 of 1999), explaining the delay in the tabling of the Annual Report of the Film and Publication Board for 2003-2004:

The above matter has reference.

In terms of Section 14 of the Films and Publications Act, 1996 as amended, as the Minister of Home Affairs I am require to table a report on the activities of the Board and the Review Board, as well as an audited balance sheet and account within fourteen days of receipt thereof.

The 2003/2004 Report was tabled in 2004, but subsequently withdrawn due to the fact that the Audit Committee report was not included as required by the Public Finance Management Act.

I am now in a position to table the report together with the financial report and the Audit Committee report. I wish to apologise for the late tabling of this report
