TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR THE MULTI-PARY TASK TEAM CONSIDERING THE FINDINGS NAD RECOMMENMDATIONS OF THE FINAL REPORT OF PRICEWATERHOUSE COPPERS INTO ALLEGED IRREFULARITIES RELATING TO THE TRAVEL WARRNAT SCHEME AND THE STATUS REPORT – TRAVVEL FRAUD INVERTIGATION OF THE NATIONAL DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC PROSECUTIONS.

  1. Pricewaterhouse Coopers has finalized its investigation into alleged irregularities relating to Parliament’s travel warrant scheme and submitted its final Report to the Presiding Officers. The directorate of Special Operations (Scorpions) is investigating possible criminal charges against members of Parliaments implicated in these irregularities and has submitted a Status Report – Travel Fraud Investigation.
  2. The Task Team must consider the findings and recommendations contained in the Report of Pricewaterhouse Coopers and the Status Report of the national Director of Public Prosecutions dated 16 February 2005, and complete its task by 18 March 2005. The Presiding Officers will report to the Joint Rules Committee on appropriate steps to be taken by Parliament.
  3. As the Report of Pricewaterhouse Coopers and the Status Report was submitted to the Presiding Officers on a confidential basis, the Task Team must deal with the confidentially.
