Ongoing implementation of the MITT recommendations towards policy and strategy development, review legislation, create one umbrella body for all sectors of industry, Participate and support Moshito Music Market, South African Music week.
Books and Publishing
Develop National Book Policy, coordinate with other government Departments re : copyright legislation, develop database of writing programmes, support reading and writing campaigns.

Design
Policy formulation, establish Design Council, participate in Design Indaba, S.A. Fashion Week, St Etienne Design Biennale
Audio Visual
Review all legislation that govern Film and Video, Policy research and analysis ,support participation in Cannes, Rotterdam, Torronto and Berlin Film Festivals, support Sithengi and Fespaco
Crafts
Policy development that will lead to the establishment of a National Craft Council, support Craft Imbiza, collaboration with museums in USA, take beautiful things to Soweto

- Hosting the World Heritage Committee Meeting.

- Launch the Heritage resources agencies. (PHRAS) in all provinces to ensure the provision of heritage services in provincial and local government level.
CULTURE AND DIVERSITY
- DAC is to build a library in Mdantsane township
- Provide better multi-lingual access to braille literature. This is a joint project with the library for the blind
- Archival Records management with Mozambique
- The restoration of the Timbuktu Historical Records.

Arts Access in Prisons
- Four prisons have been identified to pilot the project
- Kroonstad prison will be used as a launch site
ARTS ACCESS TO YOUTH
To create civic consciousness and create a sense of purpose.
HOST Youth Summit in June 2005. This summit will develop an Arts and Culture plan of action for the Youth.
