Letter from the Minister of Public Enterprises, tabled in terms of section 65(2)(a) of the Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (Act No 1 of 1999), explaining the reasons for the late tabling of the annual reports for Aventura and Alexkor:
However, due to the verification of Assets and Liabilities (particularly contingent liabilities), the finalisation of the Report has been delayed. The verification process has now been completed.
The Annual Report for Alexkor will be available for tabling in Parliament not later than 31 December 2002.
