Report on negotiating mandate on the Division of Revenue Bill [B8B-2000]

1. Terms of reference

The Division of Revenue Bill was referred to the above Standing Committee for consideration.

2. Briefing

On the 04^th April 2000 Mr Van Wyk of Treasury briefed the committee on the above stated Bill.

3. Resolution

The Committee, having considered the Bill, resolved to support its essence and principles with the following concerns:

If SALGA has to be funded what about other organised local government structures e.g. NORWELOGA in the North West Province?

An insertion of "Municipalities" and "SALGA" to be made at this clause or at any appropriate clause in the Bill.
