CLAUSE 1

1.On page 12, in line 3, to omit "section 16 of".

CLAUSE 6
1.On page 14, after line 8, to add the following subsection:
(2) (a) For the purposes of the general registration of voters contemplated in section 14, any South African citizen who has applied for an identity document, but to whom that document has not yet been issued, may, subject to section 7, be registered as a voter on production of a form prescribed by the Minister of Home Affairs by notice in the Government Gazette, and issued by the Director-General: Home Affairs, if the following particulars of the person are included in the population register defined in section 1 of the Identification Act, 1997 (Act No.68 of 1997):

(i) The identity number;
(ii) the surname, full forenames, gender and date of birth.
(b) The validity of a form issued in terms of this section lapses on the date referred to in section 14(2)(h).
