DENEL'S PROGRESS REGARDING RESTRUCTURING

Mr Max Sisulu, CEO of Denel, had been invited to address this Committee on Denel's progress regarding restructuring and other issues:
            Progress on the Restructuring and Transition Committee
            Identify non-core businesses
            Gearing of Denel
            Human Resources
            Market penetration
            Strategic Positioning of Denel
            Financial Health of Denel

Although Mr Sisulu indicated his willingness to brief the committee, the briefing did not take place as Minister Stella Sigcau requested that Denel not to deliver any presentation without her presence – she and Mr Sisulu are in Europe, pursuant to Denel, until late March. As Parliament closes on March 26, a briefing cannot be scheduled for this session.
