REFUGEES BILL: VOTING
The committee voted on the Refugee Bill and it was accepted by all parties with amendments.
The Democratic Party alone objected to the proposed amendment of Clause 24 as it removed the clearly outlined steps of administrative justice (as set out in the tabled version of the Bill) which gave one an assurance of due process by the Department of Home Affairs.
