Meeting report

The Chairperson announced that the scheduled workshop on the Public Service (PSC) mandate had been moved to a future date due to the change in Parliament’s schedule,

He apologised to Dr Somadoda Fikeni, PSC Commissioner, and his team for the postponement.

Apologies were received from Ms R Komane (EFF), Mr I Cebekhulu (IFP) and Ms M Kibi (ANC).

Adoption of Committee reports

Members considered and adopted the following Portfolio Committee on Public Service and Administration reports:

• The first, second and third quarter performance of 2021/22 for budget vote 14 of Statistics South Africa;
• The fourth quarter performance of 2021/22 for budget vote 8 of Brand South Africa;
• The first, second and third quarter performance of 2021/22 for budget vote 12 of the PSC;
• The first, second and third quarter performance of 2021/22 for  budget vote 7 of the National School of Government; and
• The first, second and third quarter performance of 2021/22 for budget vote 10 of the Department of Public Service and Administration.

Adoption of minutes

The Committee's minutes of 23 November, 24 November and 1 December 2021, and 1 March and 9 March 2022, were adopted.
