Standing Committee on Appropriations

The Standing Committee on Appropriations invites you to make written submissions on the Appropriation Bill [B5-2017]. The Bill was tabled together with the 2017/2018 Budget on 22 February 2017.

The Money Bills Amendment Procedure and Related Matters Act, No 9 of 2009 requires Parliament to conduct public hearings and to report on the Appropriation Bill. This Bill provides for the appropriation of money from the National Revenue Fund for the requirements of the State for the 2017/18 financial year; and provides for subordinate matters incidental thereto.

Public Hearings will be conducted in Khayelitsha on Wednesday, 24 May 2016.
